George F. Dunklee established the law firm Dunklee & Dunklee and later became a judge in the district courts. He married Mary Vaughan in 1883 and they adopted Edward Vaughan Dunklee in 1887. Mary Vaughan was a published poet. Edward V. Dunklee served with the Colorado National Guard in Troop D, Boulder from 1909-1912 and became a partner in Dunklee & Dunklee in 1913.
